COVID CALAMITY
What’s the point of having Covid-19 rules if nobody adheres to them!

Picture of the queue outside London’s fabric Club, obviously taken on Sunday evening, July the 18th, “ahead of the lifting of restrictions at midnight“. It’s been advertised for some time now that restrictions will be lifted on Monday, July the 19th. So, why is there a queue at all on the evening before? Who is to blame for the blatant disregard of the government’s rules?
The Fabric Club is nothing but a business, and like all businesses, the liquid assets have dwindled over the past 12/18 months. But you’d think the management would have a bit of common sense in not enticing the nightclub-starved population to illegally queue before the grand re-opening. Was it too much to ask for the club to re-open on the evening of the 19th!
Then we have the night owls, hyped-up and ready to go, like lambs to the slaughter. Of course they’ll be queuing outside on the stroke of midnight! What else are they going to do when the carrot is dangled? It’s the modern generation’s culture!
The UK recorded a further 48,161 cases and 25 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test on Sunday. On both Friday and Saturday daily cases exceeded 50,000 – the first time this level has been reached since mid-January.
Almost 88% of adults in the UK have had a first dose of a Covid vaccine, and 68.3% are double jabbed, according to the government’s coronavirus dashboard.
Going back to July 2020, when the lockdown finished and pubs were allowed to re-open, although with restrictions, I walked past my local pub at about 9pm on that evening, and the clientele were packed-in like sardines. The same selfish attitude was also apparent in the local park during the days, and a trip to the supermarket wasn’t without its virus-breathing idiots who decided that everything was back to normal.
It’s far from over yet!
However, the scientist whose modelling led to the first nationwide restrictions has expressed concern that the UK could see as many as 200,000 cases and 2,000 hospital admissions a day.
Yes, 200,000 cases a day is quite achievable under the circumstances. The fact that restrictions were installed was irrelevant, mostly because a good percentage of the population decided that the said restrictions were for other people. “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks!” – VERY TRUE!
Take a good seat, and buckle-up!
